It is such a treat to work with Julie Lyford! My partner and I are celebrating soon our 25 years of commitment, 1 year anniversary of our same-sex marriage, and our 70th birthdays. When we met with Julie to discuss the possibility of her planning our big party this summer, we were excited with her ideas. She learned that we are world travelers and suggested we have a “global” party. Her exceptionally creative ideas have been non-stop. We are decorating our garden with 36 flags of the countries we have visited as well as exhibiting authentic clothes we have purchased in those countries, providing an international buffet with treats from such countries as Thailand, India, Vietnam, Peru, Mexico, Germany, Greece, and Sweden, and playing traditional music from those countries. We would never have thought of these ideas if it had not been for Julie Lyford. She has been so extremely inventive that it is hard to believe that she is not gay! Julie went out of her way to provide the services we needed. She suggested various restaurants and venues which helped so much as we were over 8000 miles away from the city of our wedding. She took our sometimes, vague ideas and made them happen just the way we wanted them.
