Hi – We’re Baumbirdy, two childhood friends (sarah +carolyn), turned freelance art directors, who share the same regard for pattern, color, textiles and all things design. We also share similar backgrounds in painting, print making, photography and design. Through all the time we have gained experience and made art, we still continue to use the same basic principals learned when we were little, use your imagination and share. We knew we wanted to make our mark in the design world with our designs, and knew we had fun together and fought well — so clearly starting a business was the next place to go. Based out of Chicago suburbia, Baumbirdy focuses on reinventing retro classics, and taking cues from our surroundings and combining them into modern, stylish pieces that people want to hold on to. Baumbirdy’s goal is to make design that we are proud of and to find creative and clever ways of expressing one’s personality. We love that we are able to help announce the big day or help welcome a new member to the family, through our custom hand-crafted invitations and announcements. Being able to share in that perfect detail of someone’s special day is why we create and because no one deserves bad design.
