Blogger Application

We are currently looking for new bloggers to write for So You’re EnGAYged. Here is a guideline of things to think about/know before you submit an application to blog for us:

  • So You’re EnGAYged expects a time and post commitment from our bloggers so we can have fresh content. You must blog at least twice every week.
  • Your wedding date must be less than 9 months away
  • We expect all our bloggers to share some personal information with our readers such as pictures of yourself, your wedding, your DIY projects, where your wedding venue will be, etc. If this makes you nervous in any way, please reconsider blogging for SYE. We understand outness is an issue for our community and want to respect privacy, so please be aware if you blog for SYE you are really opening up your wedding planning process to a lot of people.
  • While we appreciate our allies’ support, our bloggers must be from the LGBTQI community. We love our straight allies, but want to highlight the LGBTQI wedding planning process.

Once you send in your application, the process works thus:

  • We review your application. If we feel your application is a good match, we will ask you to email us 3 more blog post the following Sunday. After that, we will review your application in full. If we approve your application, you will write 2 blogs each week for 2 weeks. At that point, we will go over everything to introduce you as a new blogger to our readership.
  • If relevant, please mention important aspects that would create diversity in our blogging community.
  • Do you have blogging experience? Do you have something that the So You're EnGAYged community will love to read about?
