About me:
About me is always so hard! I’m a librarian by day and, oh, sadly a librarian by night, too. Oh well. I’d also say that I’m kind of an amalgam between Bob the Builder and Susie Q. Homemaker (my friends say Martha Stewart, but they haven’t seen how painfully inattentive to detail I can be). I bake, I sew, I knock down walls—whatever seems like a good idea at the time. I’m from the same town as Cindy Crawford, in northern Illinois, but now I live in Chicago with my sweetie, who spends her time trying to understand the little old ladies yelling at her in Russion (and Bosnian!) and learning to cope with the unforgiving climate I talked her into leaving Florida for. We just bought a house and are spending lots of time fixing it up, trying to see our friends, and choosing between the thousands of fascinating distractions that our city provides for us every day.
