FujiFilm Instax 200 Camera Wedding Photobooth
18 Jan
I really liked the idea of a photo booth, but the money wasn’t in our budget to rent one. The cheaper method that I saw online seemed to be a take-it-yourself instant camera. Unfortunately while Polaroid cameras are now very cheap, the film is prohibitively expensive. I looked for an instant film camera for which the film was less than $1 per picture. The best option that turned up was the Fujifilm Instax 200 camera.

It is bigger than I thought it would be. I put the corkscrew next to it so you could get an idea of size. I think this is because I was used to seeing their mini version in Urban Outfitters. I pretty much fell in love with the camera. The hardest part has been not to waste film by taking pictures. Also, there are a lot more option than I remember Polaroid having. There are two distance settings, a flash, and three light settings.

The film is really easy to put in. It is basically a black box. You open the back of the camera and pop the box in. The first picture you take ejects half of the box. Then you can take 10 pictures without changing film.

The pictures pop up out of the top of the camera. Those are the only two pictures I have let myself take so far. Conserving film is so hard! The picture on the left I took in a fairly dark room on the lighten setting with flash. It came out a little lighter than I wanted, so I think for the wedding I will keep the light setting on middle with flash, as demonstrated in the picture on the right.
