J’s friend made our cake and cupcakes. I had previously posted about the desert she made for her sister’s wedding here. We traded some emails back and forth about general ideas, but the design was up to her. We were so happy with how it turned out. She used the font from our invitation as a template for our initials and made cake flags. I was amazed by how it looked.

For the carnival part of our wedding, we hired game booths, mini golf, and a chair swing ride from North American Amusement.
The chair swing ride was so much fun. My only real regret of the wedding is that I only got to ride on it twice. J managed 5 rides!
Somehow by complete accident,we managed to get a ride in our wedding colors.

At 6:15, dinner was served. The amusement rides had opened at 6, so instead of calling up specific tables to the buffet line, people finished whatever game they were playing and got food. I am not sure if this worked, as I still think there was a little bit of a food rush, but it went with the informality of our wedding.
The Indian food was so amazingly yummy that looking back at this pictures makes my mouth water.

There wasn’t an official cocktail hour at our wedding. There was a half an hour, which ended up being 45 minutes before dinner was served. During that time, the bar was open and we had a popcorn machine on the back porch of the event barn.
After the ceremony, everyone followed us up to the tent. Our friend who was in charge of the iPhone for the ceremony music, turned on the wedding playlist

I really love these pictures of everyone making there way up to the reception, it feels like a parade to me.
