I always loved the idea of a ‘first look’, where a couple finally gets to see each other all gussied up on the day of the wedding. What I really love are the totally candid expressions and reactions that can happen! I am so glad we decided to do this, and I would heartily encourage any couple to try and have their photographer capture any sort of ‘First Look’ whether it is planned or just the moment you see your loved one all ready for the day. It is definitely a moment I really cherish. The set up of our venue was ideal for a planned first look– I waited on the landing in the main foyer and Deborah came down the stairs. I am still surprised at how nervous I was in the few seconds before I saw Deborah. It was a whole mix of so many happy emotions. The ‘First Look’ is when I started crying and I pretty much continued happy tears of joy for the rest of the day. Seriously, y’all– I’m so glad someone invented waterproof mascara!
