Can you feel the happy?

I don’t have much to say about Deborah’ getting ready photos because I wasn’t there. We were getting ready over in the next room. We did hear lots and lots of cheers and laughter! I asked Deborah if she wanted to say a few things, but the English major got blog-shy. So, enjoy the photos and I’ll chime in where I can. All photos by our fabulous photographer Katherine O’Brien.

My father stopped by to fill Deborah's flask with extra special scotch.

My father and Deborah share a love of fine scotch and whiskey. I think the moment Deborah was considered part of the family was the day they shared a glass of Johnny Walker together.  Personally, I think the stuff tastes like Sharpie markers.  Needless to say, she was pretty excited to get the Johnny Walker Blue for her wedding flask.

No caption needed, methink.

So poised.

Deborah wanted her hair up from the very beginning.  We brought lots of photos that we found on theknot.com to our hair dresser and she did a great job! Deborah’s hair piece and veil are from hems and bustles on Etsy.

I told you they were hyper.

A quick quote from Deborah “Some of the best advice I can give brides and grooms-to-be is to surround yourself with people who love you for who you are.  I never even said ‘It’s my wedding day! Let’s be crazy!’ My bridesmates just went along with every random and silly thing that occurred. I love them!”

Getting Dressed!

Another note from Deborah “Everyone should have personal dressers! That was awesome!”

Cheers!

Two of the bridesmate gifts!

Our bridesmate gifts were pin-up flasks from the etsy seller DNA Creations.  We wanted to do something that was fun and involved no monograms (do you know how hard it is to find a monogram with only 2 initials?!). We think they were a pretty big hit!

Getting the party started.

Like our room, Deborah’s bridesmates and family (Code Name– Team Aaaah, We’re Better) shared a bottle of champagne before we went out for group photos. When we both look back on the afternoon before the ceremony, we remember lots of warmth and happiness!  Again, all photos by Katherine O’Brien.

Next Up: Group photos!

@AC- It was Johnny Walker Blue. I don’t know much about scotch and the degrees of niceness, but Deborah says this one was just fantastic.
