I adore this shot with Evy (my boisterious flower girl) looking up at me.

The night before our wedding was the first night in weeks that I slept soundly through the night. I knew that whatever plans I’d made I had to let go and just be present and enjoy the day. I was sure that inevitably something would go wrong, but it surprisingly didn’t. Well, that’s not completely true, we had some post-reception drama, but the day of was perfection. I kicked Nat out of our lovely room at the Parker Guest House at about 9am to shower and started getting ready. The troops, my sister, my mom, my maid of honor, our officiant and my dear friend, Annalise, arrived at about 10am. I did my hair myself and I think it turned out great. When they all arrived I was in a robe and ready for my make up application. Annalise is wonderful with make up and I was so lucky that she agreed to do my make up! She saved me a couple hundred bucks and I looked like myself in the end – super important. She applied 2 layers of fake eyelashes and I highly recommend it. I think they helped my eyes pop in the photos and they were super comfortable. She helped with make up for every one and hair too – I could NOT have done it without her. I am super grateful to have such a multi-talented and generous friend. Getting ready together was really fun and I love some of these photos the most!

Diana rocked the fisheye lens!

Super expert fake eyelash application!

Here's my flower girl with hot rollers in her hair.

The dress! I blogged about how I found it back in December.

Em helped me get into my dress just like I did for her.

I learned how to secure the veil in my hair because of an internet tutorial. Super helpful!

My maid of honor and her daughter getting dressed.

One more shot of the shoes - oh, the shoes!!

Once I was ready I made sure that Nat was too – of course she was cause it took her half as long as me! Then we met downstairs for the first look and I’ll give you some advice – do the first look – I totally cried!!!
