After a terrible storm the night before the sky was the brightest blue without a cloud to be seen. The sun was shining. The air was crisp. The suit fit perfectly, the cufflinks gleaming in the sun as I stand and wait. Our families sitting side-by-side, and smiling! All eyes turn as the musicians change their tune and here she comes. The love of my life looking too beautiful for words. I fight back the tears. In a blur we are married. We are the happiest people on earth.

Then comes pictures, cocktails, reception, dancing. We are pleased to share our special day with so many of our friends and family who support us. We spend those few hours that now seem so short thanking everyone and enjoying our new life together. We are exhausted. We fall into bed and turn to each other. At the same time we exclaim that was the best day of our lives….so far.

Being able to slip our custom wedding bands onto each other. Hers a plain platinum silver band with gaelic engravings inside of love, faith, strength. My ring was a platinum celtic ring from www.raru.com the “lindesfarne” knot. Both beautiful symbols of who we are and what we mean to each other.

  • #1 DON’T: Invite friends, family, coworkers, neighbors simply because you feel obligated to invite them. DO:Invite the people who genuinely support you two as a couple. It’s ok to keep it smaller and more intimate.
  • #2 Make decisions based on what you and your spouse want not what others think
  • #3 Remember to enjoy your day. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Planner: Dennis Duprey of the White Mountain Hotel, NH. The best thing that happened to our wedding!

Photographer: Spring Smith. Very professional and delightful pictures! She made us feel comfortable and beautiful.

Venue: White Mountain Hotel, North Conway NH. Beautiful foliage with perfect setup. Polite and respectful staff.

Florist: Ruthies florist. Conway NH. They took time to sit with us and listen to what we wanted and they were able to show us what it would look like. Beautiful fresh flowers.

Caterer: The hotel.

Cake: Beth Carta-Dolan of the sugarmaker bakery. It was beautiful and delicious. a layer of chocolate, a layer of vanilla and hazelnut butter cream in between with real buttercream frosting outside. Exquisite detail.

Dress/Suit/Accessories:

The dress: Came from “Perfect Weddings” in Lancaster Ohio. We do not reccomend them. They were rude to both the bride and her brides maids.

The suit was a custom suit from www.tailor4less.com I went to a local seamstress to be measured and I picked out all the mateial and cuts of the suit myself. A wonderful website and the suit was everything I could have asked for. It shipped very quickly!

The Men’s pants were from men’s warehouse.

What a beautiful and special day! Congratulations! Your wedding suit looks great!
Are you from Ohio? I am from Ohio and I’ve spent some time in Lancaster. I’m sorry they were rude to you. We live in California, got married in Boston and had a reception in Ohio with our families. We were pleasantly surprised that all of our vendors were really cool.
