A Christmas NYC wedding courtesy of our new pro-gay vendor, Pennace Photography. I love it when couples give their photographer’s enough time to play around the city and these guys certainly did.
Patrick and I were wed in December 2010 at a Christmas wedding in New York City. Friends gathered in the private room of Citrus Restaurant in Manhattan for a cocktail hour while we prepared in our suite at the W Times Square Hotel. Our arrival at the restaurant was met by a huge cheer, after which we made our way around the room to greet our guests. Then, emboldened by a few cocktails, we began our ceremony. Our friend Ellyn—who had written the Match.com post for Patrick that caught my eye—officiated and we had our other friend Mikeserve as Best Man. We both got misty as she read the story of our relationship and then traded individual personal vows to each other. Following the ceremony, we invited the entire crowd of family and friends to join us for our first dance: “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” We continued to dance and mingle and celebrate our wedding.
–no matter how small your wedding, always plan on it ending up bigger!
–you can never have enough friends to help you set up
For our Christmas wedding, we found simple paper and glass ornaments and hung them withdecorative raffia from the ceiling.
The most meaningful element of the ceremony was having our guests gathered around usinformally during the ceremony. We were so fortunate to be surrounded by a circle of love tosupport and embrace on our special day.

I was so pleased to be there. A special celebration for two wonderful men I couldn’t be prouder. I’m happy to have these pictures. The photography captures the evening and the personality of these two gorgeous men.
