I’m so excited to share this wedding with you as I was lucky enough to shoot Priya and Rebecca’s wedding myself! And yes, I am a pro-gay vendor, ha! The wedding took place on Martha’s Vineyard and was a true combination of both of the bride’s ideas, cultures, and families.
About 150 family members and friends traveled to Martha’s Vineyard for our wedding and reception. The two of us worked with Priya’s mother, who is a Hindu Priest, and Rebecca’s Aunt, who we have a close relationship with, to create a ceremony that blended our religious rituals and cultural traditions into one cohesive ceremony. It was held at a friend’s backyard right along the water. Afterward, everyone walked through some hedges for lunch on the beach. An evening reception was held in the same location under a tent, with a live swing band and a delicious Indian-American-Lebanese fusion dinner.

We worked really hard to ensure the ceremony and reception reflected our personalities, tastes, and cultures. For example, our chef came up with recipes combining Indian, American, and Lebanese flavors. For outfits, Rebecca wore a wedding dress to the ceremony and an Indian salwar kameez to the reception and Priya wore her mom’s wedding sari to the ceremony and custom made suit to the reception. It was also great to have so many people involved in making it happen. For example, Rebecca’s Uncle built the mandap from scratch, a friend created the cupcakes and amazing cupcake stand, Rebecca’s mom organized the entire event, her cousin hand wrote names on sea shells, and two people very close to us (Priya’s mom and Rebecca’s aunt) officiated the ceremony!

Gorgeous wedding! I love how various cultures were incorporated. Great dress Rebecca!!
I love how involved their families were. All the love surrounding them shows in the photographs. Lovely.
I love that these colors POP right off the screen.

So So Beautiful! Congratulations! I love that your families were involved.
Gorgeous! They look so happy! Unrelated: I want enough of that sari fabric to cover everything I own.
Gosh with the gowns again. I love them! :D Congrats!
Spectacular. Good to have traditional indian culture as well as loving accepting families involved in the celebration.
