a.W photography, one of our pro-gay photographers, emailed us this engagement shoot and I knoooow vintage bikes are all the rage. But this is a fun bike with a basket! I’m sucker for bikes with baskets. And the way they are having fun with the bike instead of just standing there looking like bored models is so sweet.
Ever the romantic, I had an elaborate plan in my head. Unfortunately, my impatience and excitement got the better of me and I proposed in the living room over pork chops. I must have done something right though, since Amanda said ‘yes’. When she gave me my ring, she sent me on an intense scavenger hunt which ended with a weekend of hiking in one of our favorite mountain towns, Keystone, CO. She wins for romantic proposal stories, but I’m evening things out by making sure she gets her dream wedding.
We had a mutual friend set us up. It took three tries before we actually hit it off though. After two failed attempts, our friends, not the type to give up, took us out on Halloween and conspired to ditch us at haunted house. We spent the rest of the night talking at an all-night diner. Five hours and ten cups of coffee later, we were planning a second date.
