Gaby Morales sent us these stunning images from Buenos Aires- such a perfect setting for engagement shots with the architecture.

Well… we always lived our relationship openly. Last year, the Senate of our country was debating the possibility of passing the same sex marriage law. We went to all the demonstrations supporting it and our friends and family joined us, but deep inside, we felt that we wouldn’t get it in the end, there was a very strong force from the church against it and we felt that we would lose that fight, but then in the early hours of July 15th, it became a law, the possibility of getting married became real.

That day, everybody called us telling us “Well, you CAN get married now, so you HAVE TO”. So yes, we are getting married because we love each other, we are happy together and because we want to celebrate this moment with all the people who love us, wish us the best and showed so much support.

We met twelve years ago when we were working in the same theatre company. Miguel was the art director and I (Mariano) was an actor. Miguel was kind of “my boss” and it was difficult to start a relationship in that context, so eventually I left the it and short after that, Miguel did that too.

Our passion for art brought us together and we have even started a vintage accessories shop together (http://myworld.ebay.com/elmatadero). Two years after we began dating, we started living together. It just felt like a natural step in our relationship. We share our apartment, our business, friends, family and our beautiful cat “Jade”. We just feel that we complete each other.

On the one hand, our engagement photo session location was a very small and forgotten town in Buenos Aires. It felt right to do it there because it was so calm and beautiful, almost like being far away from the city but only one hour from Buenos Aires. On the other hand, we are getting married in Buenos Aires capital city. The party will take place in a bohemian-antique neighborhood called “San Telmo” (very popular among tourists), in an old Victorian and decadent mansion on April 9th.
