We modified our wedding by calling it a Winter White Affair. Guests did not know that they were coming to a wedding until they arrived. We had a few traditional features to the evening; three tiered cake, flowers, vows but for the most part it was a dinner party with a twist:)
Our wedding was exactly they way we pictured it from the day we got engaged! We wanted to get married in our home, in front of a roaring fire with soft white snow falling! We wanted beautiful white flowers, soft candle light and a few of our closest friends. Everything was perfect! At times I had to pinch myself! I was like a little girl, watching the flowers, cake and food arrive! Our house was turned into a magical palace! Images by Studio SMC.
The vows that we shared brought tears to my eyes. The love between us could be felt by everyone in the room. We joined our lives that night with a breath taking back drop of sparkling snow. Nothing could have made it more perfect! We made our ceremony meaningful for both of us by planning out every detail and not settling on anything!
My favorite design element was all the beautiful white flowers! They took my breath away! White roses and calla lilies everywhere!
It’s hard to pick one moment! I LOVED everything! It was so exciting watching everything come together before our eyes! However, the moment that sticks out the most for me is when Robin and I danced in our living room, in front of our closest friends! It was magical!

So Sweet! I lived in a log cabin where it snowed so prettily I would love to have my wedding there. Congrats to your both!
Wow, that’s the first surprise wedding I’ve ever heard of. It’s obvious that it was a beautiful experience. Congratulations!
It’s the first surprise wedding I’ve heard of, too! That’s truly magical, though I expect it only works well with a smaller guest list.
After going through almost every single wedding on the site…I gotta say that this is my fav. In the comfort of your own home and all the white snow…perfecto.
