Thanks to Vickie and Sharon for submitting their wedding and Cheryle Levine Photography for the photos.

Our wedding day started out with nicer weather than was expected, and even though our special night ended with rain, we still had the best night of our life! Our morning began with a workout at the gym (we were both wearing sleeveless dresses, after all!) and then we had lunch before we went to our professional hair and make-up appointments. We’ve never felt so glamorous as we did that day. We made our way to the hotel where we would all be staying overnight. We busily made our way to everyone’s rooms to say hello before we went to our suite to put our dresses on and spend our last few moments together before becoming wife and wife.

While the guests boarded the yacht, our photographer took several photos of Sharon and me in our hotel and surrounding area. It was so much fun to play and create memories that would last us a lifetime. Then the moment came when we knew all guests had arrived and it was our turn to board the yacht. Our nephew and his wife played their instruments to Pachelbel’s Canon in D as we made our way to the yacht and up the steps to our guests. What a rush of excitement to see all eyes on us as they gushed with pride and love. Formal family pictures, hot passed hors d’oeuvres and open bar followed. Dinner was served and was a success (according to the guests, because we barely ate since we circulated the dining area greeting and thanking our guests for coming). Following our first dance surprise, the DJ was excellent at making sure the music we like was played and that all guests were enjoying themselves. We ended the night by standing at the yacht’s exit to hug and thank everyone again for coming. Definitely a night to remember forever.

Our favorite moment of the day was performing two parts of our first dance. The first part was a self-choreographed waltz and fox trot to “Moon River” sung by Pattie Page; and the second part was a smooth and fun disco routine to “More than a Woman” by the Bee Gees. Even though the waters were a little rough and our yacht a bit rocky, we wowed the crowd with our new moves learned at dance classes in Cambridge, MA.

Our favorite design element of the day was having the Boston skyline as the background of our photos. Our photographer and her assistant were skilled at capturing the photo’s when the yacht was in perfect position for the best views.

We each asked a close friend to speak on our behalf and another friend facilitated vows of commitment. We also made mention of loved ones who had passed on.

At one point in the evening, we all noticed that there was a movie being filmed in a boat just a short distance away from our boat. Sharon’s dream is to be in a movie, so as I stood by holding her legs, she stood on a bench and whistled as loud as she could to see if she could get there attention and maybe have our wedding yacht in the background of the new movie. We found out that it was Ben Affleck’s new movie being filmed!
