Getting Ready-Hectic by Alison

If I had any regrets about the day, I would say that I wish that Heather and I had gotten ready together. Since both of us were worried about the others location, the essence of the moment was overshadowed by our anticipation and expectation of the events to come. Not to mention I was two hours late…

Like many brides who don’t wear dresses, Heather was having a particularly hard time finding a “suit”able outfit for the wedding. We serendipitously found her outfit on a mannequin at Express Men and after some serious tailoring it fit just right. We got her shirt at Brook’s Brothers.

I finally arrived at the station with no more than 45 minutes to spare before the ceremony. I ripped off my clothes, jumped into my dress, threw on my heels and I was out the door! I was so worried all morning about being late but the moment my maid of honor zipped up my dress it was like magic-all of my worries were gone. I didn’t care what broke, who stepped on my dress, or what seating arrangement wasn’t right-all I cared about was getting married to my girl.

Once we got all gussied up…we were off to snap some photos!
