Most of our guests were travelling 8 hours to come to the wedding, so I wanted to make a “Welcome to Vermont” bag. At first, I played around with the idea of doing a map of Vermont design, but decided it would be easiest to just reuse the Ferris Wheel. I split the image in 2 and burned Gocco screens. I used 2 tubes of black, 2 tubes of red, and 1 tube of blue fabric ink to make 60 tote bags.
Halfway done and drying on a clothes rack:

All done and after ironing:
The hardest part was lining up the top screen with the bottom design. The first 10 I did were really terrible, but I learned to eyeball it better the more I did. The maroon color came about when I moved between red and black ink.
I had originally wanted to include maple syrup, but it was cost prohibitive. I felt that the bag was a little empty with only 3 things, but I told myself the bag was present enough without stuffing it.
