Fall engagement session

I was planning to submit this to SYE before I was a blogger, but then I decided to apply to write, and once I knew I’d been accepted I was so excited that I just kind of forgot about it for a while.  I find it hard to believe that happened, since I’m still so blown away by the pictures!  Ross Mantle is a friend of a friend and Stacy and I were immediately impressed with the artistry and creativity of his work.  His background is in photojournalism, and although he’s in the early stages of his career, his talent is definitely taking him places (he’s shot for the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal).  I think these pictures will explain why we were so excited when he agreed to shoot our wedding.

These pictures were taken in the Nine Mile Run section of Frick Park, very close to where Stacy and I shared our first kiss ten years ago and a stone’s throw from where she proposed.  It was one of the last warm fall days last year, and we had a lot of fun roaming around in the beautiful park.

Don’t get me wrong, I love spring! But looking at these pictures again makes me so excited for fall in general and the coming one in particular.  I can’t wait to get married amid colors like these!
