Humming and hawing for months got us nowhere as fast as clicking on Etsy one day to browse for something totally unrelated to find us our ideal wedding rings. Seriously, Jesse Danger’s Dragonfly Ring was listed in silver on the front page. Isn’t it gorgeous?!
Gorgeous, yes. It’s gonna be Alex’s birthday present on April 1st just before our wedding. The Dragonfly Ring got me to Jesse’s shop though and that’s when we found ‘Love is on the inside.’ Sterling Silver, Rose Gold, all recycled metals, hand-crafted, in our price range.
Jesse Danger specializes as a eco-metalsmith working with recycled silver, gold and platinum. With this specific ring, Jesse has designed it after a ring his wife had given him, with the meaning behind it being something like this, in Jesse’s own words:
‘The Silver on the outside has a clean and modern look that will take on its own unique finish as it wears over time, while the inside remains true to the day it was first made…’
We absolutely love it. Alex wanted silver, I wanted rose gold. The ring is a thick, substantial band that does make a statement of ‘Hey! I’m married!’ No diamonds, but the meaning behind it, just fits, well, our goal to have ‘everything have meaning.’ We’re a sappy, mushy pair.
Ok, so I’ve also had a look at the rest of his dragonfly jewelry, too. I can’t help shopping alongside wedding planning… Aren’t they pretty?

Oh my goodness, the Dragonfly ring is to die for. I so need that in my life right now!
Big love for the dragonfly ring!
I agree the Dragonfly ring is fashionable and unique. It’s something to try on but I still prefer the traditional ring with the name sculpted inside.
Would really like to get the ring, but I did not find it on Etsy
LOVE the exquisite dragonfly ring! Of course, I am terribly partial to silver, so it must be even more lovely in silver. Love the simple wedding bands. Truly authentic!
Just wanted to put it out there…we found our rings at the Danbury Mint Website. We chose the Diamond Fire Ring that they have listed and it was very, very affordable!
@Kevia: If you find Jesse Danger’s shop on Etsy you can message him about the ring–he just working on a new design for it, and he is an absolute pleasure to work with!
@Judy: Can’t wait for you to see them!
