When we went to sleep on Friday, I set my alarm for 9:30.  Instead of the alarm, we were woken up by J’s sister knocking on our door, telling us that it was late and we had to start taking pictures soon.  I freaked for about 30 seconds until I checked my phone and saw it was only 8:30.  I was a little bit pissed at that point, but she brought us coffee so I got over it quickly.

J and her sister went to get us breakfast and I went to check on the tent. Some of the origami balloons had blown off the lights, but the major issue was that the fish line holding up the white Poms had broken.  I talked to Vicki and she said she would fix it and not to worry, which she did and I did and it worked out great. (I loved Vicki, she was the best thing to happen to our wedding.)

My family and a bunch of our guests helped me move the chairs from the tent to the ceremony site.  I think it took 10 minutes. Then I hung the pomanders on the aisle chairs and hung our intials signs in the reception tent.

After I ate, I hopped in the shower.  The really nice thing about our room, besides for the tub in the living room and the two headed shower, was the view from the shower, which allowed me to watch my grandfather set up the wedding canopy.

When it came time to get ready, J went to her sister’s room.  I hadn’t thought about whether or not we would be getting ready together, but being without her made me a little nervous about the rest of the day.

So I put on some makeup, which felt a little silly.

Then my friend did my hair for which I was amazingly grateful. She had drove all night from DC to VT and slept 2 hours in the parking lot to be there on time.

She had also brought a flower clip for herself but ended up putting it in my hair.

My mom brought my aunt and I veggie wraps for lunch, so we sat on the couch and ate while waiting for picture time. At 1:15 my aunt zipped up my dress and I was all ready.

Obviously, it is very important to remember sunscreen for outside, summer weddings.

This was the 8th pair of shoes we had ordered online for the J. I don’t even think she wore them half an hour. They didn’t really fit, but we had given up at that point. It is impossible to buy a cute 6.5 EE shoe.
