5 Takes: Hot Chocolate Bar

We are going with a traditional wedding cake as our main dessert.  I’ll have more details on that after our tasting in July.  In the meantime, however, I am super excited about our hot chocolate bar.  We are still playing around with how to present it in a cute and user friendly way, but here are a few of the key components so far!

We didn’t set an age limit with our guest list.  Even though I know some parents will choose to come kid-free to an evening wedding, I think the kids that do come will enjoy our pizza menu and hot chocolate fixings.

And our bartender will be standing by for the adults to add a little kick to their hot chocolate….

What other toppings/add ins would be fun?  How should we serve this all up without creating a big sticky mess?

That sounds so tasty. I love hot chocolate. Have you thought about making the marshemellows yourself(http://smittenkitchen.com/2009/06/springy-fluffy-marshmallows/) or cutting hearts out (http://jordanferney.blogspot.com/2007/01/i-heart-marshmallows.html)?

I would put the whipped cream in icing piping bags you can use really big decorative tips to make pretty designs…
