Angel and Shirley were kind enough to write us about their commitment ceremony in Texas. Katherine O’Brien was their photographer who broke out her holga camera for a lot of these shots! Also, thank you to Heather Hill who was their wedding planner.
Angel and Shirley met two years ago at a coffee shop for the first time after exchanging emails. Angel had written a post about the dating scene in Austin, Texas and out of the ten or so emails she received in response to her post, Shirley’s was one that caught her eye.
After dating for almost two years, we started making plans for our commitment ceremony. Our first rule was that we only wanted to do business with people we felt good about. The second was that we wanted a ceremony filled with love and we wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. Based on that, the ceremony was relatively easy to plan. We each had different things that were important to us, so compromises were easy.
Needless to say the ceremony and celebration was everything we wanted and more. We truly felt the love and support of everyone and by the smiles in all our photos, everyone really enjoyed themselves.
