So here at So You’re EnGAYged, we are big on supporting vendors who support our community. That’s the whole reason we run the Pro-Gay Vendor List!
But with the holiday season in full gear, a lot of the LGBT community is more focused on gift giving for the holiday season. But why should our $$ be going to stores if they don’t support our community?
HRC, the human rights campaign, just put out a buying guide for equality. Check it out and enjoy your holiday shopping…err…season.

Sorry, I just can’t get behind the HRC. It has a nasty history of transphobia, and since my fiancee is trans, we won’t ever be supporting them.
We completely understand your feelings about HRC’s transphobia. We have problems with many of the “compromises” they have “strategically” made. however, we find this buying guide useful because there is really nothing else that ranks companies in this way. If you have any other resources like this, please send them our way!
Also, we firmly support working with local groups where you can be more involved with the determination of strategy to make it more inclusive.
