That’s right! DC passes gay marriage!! With a signature from DC Mayor Fenty and a 30 day wait for Congress to approve everything(yes, DC is NOT a state and has to approve everything by Congress) it looks like LGBT couples can go get their marriage certificates around St.Patty’s day.
So You’re EnGAYged is super proud of DC politicians for siding with equality. So we want to celebrate! Any ideas for how So You’re EnGAYged can celebrate the day when LGBT couples can go into the courthouse and get legally married in DC? Either on the web or actually in the world?

WOOHOO! I’d LOVE to be able to go to the court house and throw confetti and pass out cupcakes to the folks getting married on the first day it’s legal. How fun! It would be amazing to see pictures of all the hoopla here on SYE!
I would love to do some kind of Blog-for-Celebration day, kind of like Blog-for-Choice day or Blog Action day. Invite bloggers all around the web to write about why gay marriage matters to them and how they can help support others in wedding planning.
